Welcome to Placida Decor. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. General

These Terms of Service apply to all customers, visitors, and users of placidadecor.com and our physical showrooms located in Burnaby and Coquitlam, BC. By using our site or making a purchase, you confirm that you are of legal age in your province or territory. Placida Decor reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

2. Consent to Electronic Communications

By using our website and services, you consent to receive electronic communications regarding transactions, promotions, and service updates. If you wish to opt out of marketing emails, you may do so at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails.

3. Order Acceptance & Processing

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, or items no longer in stock. You will be notified promptly if your order cannot be fulfilled, and any payment collected will be refunded in full.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes. Full payment is required at the time of purchase. We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and e-Transfers. Placida Decor reserves the right to update pricing at any time without prior notice.

5. Delivery

We offer delivery services within BC and across Canada. Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays, weather, or other factors outside our control. For large furniture items, a delivery appointment will be scheduled with you in advance. Delivery fees apply as outlined at checkout.

A flat delivery fee of $100 CAD applies where applicable. Free delivery is available on qualifying orders over $100 CAD within BC. Placida Decor is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers. If you receive a damaged item, notify us immediately with photos of the packaging and product.

6. Assembly Services

Professional assembly is available for an additional fee of $150 CAD and must be requested at the time of purchase. Our team will take reasonable care during assembly; however, Placida Decor is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions or access limitations (e.g., narrow hallways, staircases, elevators).

7. Returns & Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service. Key highlights:

  • Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery
  • Items must be unused, unassembled, and in original packaging
  • A 20% restocking fee applies if the item has been opened but not used
  • Return shipping fees apply based on item size
  • Refunds are processed once the returned product is inspected and approved

8. Product Warranty

All products come with a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or normal wear and tear. For warranty claims, contact us at info@placidadecor.com.

9. Membership & Promotions

Placida Decor may offer membership programs or promotional discounts. Membership benefits, fees, and terms are subject to change. Promotional offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Placida Decor's liability is limited to the purchase price of the product(s) in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products or services. We do not guarantee that our website or services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on placidadecor.com, including images, text, logos, and product descriptions, is the property of Placida Decor and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of content is strictly prohibited.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Burnaby, BC.
